Although it print in black and white only, the scanning feature is offered in full color with an optional dpi of up to 9600 based on image sizing.
The printer portion of the Brother MFC-7820N offers output speeds of up to 20 pages per minute and a 2400 x 600 dpi resolution. The laser monochrome text is offered in a crisp, clear finish, and images run the full range of gray scale graphics. All this is accomplished with the MFC-7820N toner, which comes in standard Black. Replacement Brother MFC-7820N cartridges come in yields of up 2,500 pages, making it both cost-effective and easy to maintain. The cartridge model number for this printer is the TN350 toner cartridge. The DR350 drum cartridge is also used in this printer model.
