Features and Functionality
The Brother MFC-8640D monochrome printer outputs as many as 21 pages per minute with print resolution of up to 2400 x 600 dpi. It comes standard with a 250-sheet paper tray but also offers the option of adding a second tray with an additional capacity of 250 more pages. In addition, there is a separate 50-page multi-purpose tray that can feed envelopes, label sheets, and other media to expand upon the printer’s functionality.

As many as 480 pages can be stored in the fax memory. Other fax features include call waiting, caller ID, and distinctive ring capabilities. As many as 240 auto dial locations can be programmed, and it is possible for a fax to be sent at the same time as another is being received.
