The Brother MFC-9600 is a monochrome all-in-one printer designed for use with individual users or in a home office setting. Features and Functionality
The Brother MFC-9600 offers solid print capabilities with a 12 page per minute rate and a 600 x 600 dpi resolution. These same great features are offered for both copying and faxing, as well as printing, so you get the same results no matter what office function you use. Copying offers additional options to reduce to 50 percent size or enlarge to 400 percent size.
Capable of printing on most paper types as well as envelopes, the MFC-9600 helps users to create documents, presentations, and spreadsheets that can be used for virtually any function. Copies can be made in multiples of up to 99 at a time, and additional options allow you to store the copies as a scanned image to be converted to a digital text file.
There is no need for the Brother MFC-9600 to be connected to a computer for access to the walk-up flatbed copier and fax machine. Users can place their documents in the 30-page auto document feeder for instant access. However, when the printer is connected to a computer via the Parallel port provided, you can send faxes directly from your Mac or PC desktop.
With an 8MB memory, the Brother MFC-9600 is fairly small in terms of storage size, but it can hold up to 700 faxes in its memory at one time. Even though it prints in monochrome only, the scanner allows for full color input and can even capture stills from video files.
Paper for the Brother MFC-9600 is fed via a standard 250-sheet input tray. It is adjustable for use with both legal and letter paper. Faxes and copies may utilize both these paper sizes, as needed for your regular business use. Faxes, copies, and prints also use the same MFC-9600 toner. Offered in standard Black only, there are two sizes to choose from. The TN430 cartridge yields up to 3,000 pages of use, while the larger TN460 can double your output to 6,000 pages. Both Brother MFC-9600 cartridge options are easy to replace and provide the same crisp, professional results.
