Features and Functionality
One of the greatest features of the Samsung CLP-550 is its built in duplexer and paper storage capabilities. It has the ability to store up to 350 sheets of letter, A4, and even legal size paper using the 100-sheet storage multi-purpose tray. The duplexer allows for automatic double sided printing that is a cost effective and environment friendly printing solution.
The Samsung CLP-550 has a rather impressive resolution. At 1,200 x 1,200 DPI this printer is capable of printing high quality presentations, but due to its slow pages per minute printing speed (20 PPM in black and white and only 5 pages in color) it is best suited for monochrome office documents. It can hold up to 320 Megabytes of Memory and comes with 64Megs preinstalled.
One of the largest down falls of this printer is its weight. This printer literally weights 77 pounds and requires more than one person to move. It requires a fair amount of space in which to operate, so make sure you have the room to accommodate this beast before you purchase it.
